For two years now Evelyn Hung a Sydney administration manager has been searching for a new beginning and couldn’t help but wonder if the grass was greener elsewhere. So began her lengthy hunt to buy her first home, closer to the vibrancy of Sydney’s inner-city lifestyle.
Growing up in Taipei, Taiwan’s capital with 23.5 million inhabitants, Evelyn not surprisingly misses the fast-paced pulse of a big city. Arriving in Sydney in 2013, she had little understanding of Sydney’s greater metropolitan area and found herself living in Sylvania Waters in the Sutherland Shire. “It’s a lovely suburb for families but is not for me at this stage of my life, it’s too quiet with little nightlife”, she said.
Six years on, enduring a long daily commute to her workplace in the city Evelyn now knows where in the harbour city she wants to be. This epiphany coincided with a serendipitous moment.
Jolyn Place, Rosebery: A residential master-planned development by Toplace Group.
One night while making her way home after dinner with friends, Evelyn spotted an inviting property showroom on Dalmeny avenue, Rosebery. This lit up beacon drew her forward to learn about an exciting and innovative new development which would enrich her life.
Little did Evelyn know a one-bedroom apartment in this master-planned development would become her new home. After visiting the Jolyn Place showroom, Evelyn now knows the ‘grass is indeed greener’ on the other side and is thrilled with her new neighbour – Sydney’s Green Square precinct, which is undergoing a $440 million urban rejuvenation.
By 2030, Green Square is forecast to accommodate close to 61,000 residents in 30,500 new homes and provide around 21,000 permanent jobs, making it one of Australia’s most densely populated suburbs. (Source: City of Sydney).
“I can’t wait to move in! I actually did not realise just how special Rosebery and Jolyn Place was when I purchased. My main motivation to buy was the location; Rosebery has a young energy; the price (one-bedroom apartments sell at an average price of $710,000) and Jolyn Place apartments reflect my style; contemporary with modern finishes. I am happy my search is over. I have found an exceptional investment and above all a special place to call home’’, Evelyn said.
Evelyn’s daily commute time will be cut by 80% and she can now walk to her favourite dining precinct in Rosebery’s foodie haven, and enjoy all that the Green Square precinct has to offer; it includes a new state of the art library, aquatic centre, many parks and playgrounds and a creative hub. The Green Square town combines $13 billion in combined investment.
The final opportunity to purchase within a vibrant new community in the heart of Green Square developed by leading property developer Toplace Group, Jolyn Place was designed by award winning architect practice BVN. The design was inspired by incorporating the natural elements of the brickwork with Rosebery’s charming urban landscape.
The last mix of apartments are currently for sale priced from $650,000 to $830,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, $895,000 to $1,150,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and $1,195,000 to $1,460,000 for a three-bedroom apartment.
