In the inner city at 888 Bourke St, Zetland, excavation work has started with a two-year construction expected to finish in 2025.

PTW Architects have designed the mixed-use development, which features a curving brick facade to mask 182 apartments and reflect the built history of the area.

It’s certainly a smaller-sized development compared to what Toplace Group normally does as 888 Bourke Street is meant to become boutique, high-end development with nice finishes and two colour schemes. The development is perfectly suited to working individuals who prefer to work from home and live close to the city amenities.

The project has two buildings with a retail tenancy on the ground floor and an integrated car park.

Layouts will feature one, two and three bedrooms with designs and technology being reviewed for the increasing post-pandemic demand to have work-from-home provision.

The suburb, 4km south of the CBD, has undergone a recent renaissance and is 6.5km to Coogee Beach.
